Today in Blue Jays history: Rolen/Glaus trade
Fifteen years ago today. The trade was official on the 14th, but we got wind of it on the 12th, so let’s split the difference. In the middle of a very slow January for<strong> Blue Jays</strong> news, the Jays traded <strong>Troy Glaus</strong> to the <strong>Cardinals</strong> for <strong>Scott Rolen</strong>. As Hugo said<a href="http://www.bluebirdbanter.com/2008/1/12/183739/739"> in his post on the trade</a>, it was two teams exchanging players who didn’t want to be with them anymore.

If we were the voters for the Baseball Hall of Fame, Adrián Beltré, Gary Sheffield, Todd Helton, Joe Mauer, and Andruw Jones would be going into the Hall this year (well, Mauer got 74.9% and Jones 75.1%, so Mauer wouldn’t make it, but I’m going to ignore).
