An Early Look at How Vladimir Tarasenko’s Played for the New York Rangers
Vladimir Tarasenko has skated in 12 games with the New York Rangers since being acquired from the St. Louis Blues, and with the team off until Thursday, now is a great time to take a quick look at how he’s played. At the time of the trade, Tarasenko was in the midst of a down season with a Blues team that wasn’t playing all that well, and many hoped that putting him on the Rangers’ roster would reinvigorate his game.

Game #63: New York Rangers vs Boston Bruins Open Thread
The Blueshirts are set to hit the ice for some Saturday matinee action for the second week in a row. Last week saw the team fall in a disheartening effort against the spiraling Washington Capitals, and the challenge will be much tougher today against the NHL-leading Boston Bruins.

Rangers Make Two Minor Moves on NHL Trade Deadline Day
The NHL trade deadline came, and the NHL trade deadline went. This year was a bit unique with most of the marquee names being moved before the day of the deadline and the New York Rangers were no different. Pulling the trigger early to grab Tarasenko and Mikkola, upgrading their depth with a return of Motte and last but not least the resolution of the Kane saga and Showtime finally getting his debut on Broadway.

Austin Watson Will Not Face Supplemental Discipline for High Hit on Tyler Motte
Tyler Motte left the New York Rangers’ game on Thursday vs. the Ottawa Senators with an upper-body injury after his head was picked off by Austin Watson. Today it was announced that Watson will not face any form of supplemental discipline for his actions.

Rangers Vs. Senators: That’s Show Business
I can already feel getting yelled at for this but: The Rangers have been short handed for over a week, they’re down Motte as well tonight for 40 minutes, on the second night of a back to back. They had their looks and the power play didn’t click, but this is not a panic loss.

Game #62: Ottawa Senators vs New York Rangers Open Thread
Following their victory over the Philadelphia Flyers last night, the Blueshirts are back in action once again less than 24 hours later. The Ottawa Senators are in town to wrap up their season series with the Rangers in the rubber match. These teams met for a home and home set at the end of November and start of December, with the Rangers earning a 3-1 regulation victory in Ottawa while the Senators came to Madison Square Garden and sent the hometown crowd home dissatisfied after defeating the Blueshirts 3-2.

Report: NHL to Deny Rangers’ Request for Emergency Recall
The New York Rangers played shorthanded again on Wednesday with Ryan Lindgren not healthy enough to play, K’Andre Miller suspended, and Patrick Kane not ready to debut, and as such they seemingly met the requirements to utilize an emergency recall for today’s game vs. the Ottawa Senators. But according to Mollie Walker the Rangers will not be able to do so because they created the situation themselves.

Game #61: New York Rangers vs Philadelphia Flyers Open Thread
Although the trade deadline is still two days away, the Rangers appear to have made their final moves of the season prior to tonight’s game. The long rumored deal that would make Patrick Kane a Blueshirt transpired yesterday, though the longtime Chicago Blackhawk’s Ranger debut will not take place until tomorrow night. Between Kane’s debut being pushed back to Thursday, Ryan Lindgren’s continued absence due to an upper body injury, and the three game suspension handed down to K’Andre Miller, Gerard Gallant’s squad will be playing short handed for the second consecutive game.
